Exploring TORONTO. What to do in two days in this amazing city.
Welcome to Toronto, Canada! We explored this beautiful city and visited some amazing spots.
On this trip, we set out to explore the city in one day. We hit up Bellwoods Park, Ossington Avenue, the Distillery District and even the Toronto Aquarium. We've been to Toronto before, but this time it swept us off of our feet. We went to some amazing restaurants and bars as well. The food in Toronto was extraordinary.
Trinity Bellwoods and Ossington Avenue
We started our tour in the city of Toronto in Trinity Bellwoods Park and then walking towards Ossington Avenue to find something to eat. We sat on the patio and enjoyed some delicious food and beer. We noticed that Ossington Avenue is in the middle of some gentrification. There are some really high-end places mixed with older, local mom-and-pop shops. In addition, there are lots of closed places that are being renovated. Therefore, there is more coming.

Bellwood’s Brewery
Our followers are aware of our love for craft beer. For that reason, we asked a couple of locals and they recommended this awesome place called Bellwood’s Brewery. The place has a beautiful outdoor space. We came a little early, considering the place opens at five o’clock to find a line of people waiting. We ended up ordering a sour beer. Ossington is probably our favourite area in Toronto we’ve found so far.
The Distillery District
We Came over to the Distillery district. This place dates back a hundred and seventy years. It was one of the biggest distilleries in the world but it closed in 1990. Now it is made up of a bunch of art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. This is our first visit to this area, and it’s a great spot to explore. There are a lot of little shops and patios everywhere which means we have to come back in the summertime. Also, these buildings are just amazing, they are all brick surrounded by high-rise condos. In downtown Toronto, it feels really new because of the big glass buildings; but this area feels cool, and classic and has a little European feel to it. Afterwards, we met up with a friend in a place called Cluny. We had a wonderful time.
Where to eat in the Distillery District
We came to a place called El Catrin Destileria to have dinner. We ordered some chicken tacos. We have been to a lot of cities, including New York, Boston, San Fransisco, and a bunch of places in Europe. We have to say that Toronto is killing it with the food. It is so good. Every day, we have been having fabulous food.
The Toronto Aquarium
On the morning of our second day in Toronto, we were off to find the aquarium. We don’t always like to visit super touristy places but this one is definitely worth a visit. The aquarium was so big and exciting. The exhibits had more than 80 aquatic species. The Canadian Waters Gallery features 17 exhibits totalling over 665,000 litres of water. The aquarium was really fun. The trip in general was so good. We plan to come back to Toronto again.
