With an insatiable wanderlust and an unquenchable thirst for exploration, we’ve embraced a life less ordinary. We’re both originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, we spend much of our time traveling the world and living on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Ditching the conventional and mundane, we’ve embarked on the journey of a lifetime, traveling the planet one destination at a time.

Our travel philosophy goes beyond mere sightseeing – we immerse ourselves in each location, living like locals and absorbing the authentic essence of every place we visit. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the tranquil beaches of Bali, we’ve mastered the art of fully embracing diverse cultures, traditions, and ways of life.

But that’s not all – alongside running our web design company, we’ve transformed our passion for travel into a mission to inspire and guide fellow travel enthusiasts. Through our captivating YouTube videos, we share invaluable insights, tips, and tricks for planning the perfect adventure. Whether it’s finding hidden gems, navigating public transport like pros, or sampling the most mouthwatering local delicacies, our channel is a treasure trove of wisdom for aspiring globetrotters.

So, join us as we continue to roam the world, leaving footprints of inspiration, cultural appreciation, and a zest for life. Through our adventures, we prove that it’s not just about the places you go, but the unforgettable experiences and connections you make along the way. Get ready to explore, learn, and live vicariously through our whirlwind escapades! 🌎✈️🍴

Please reach out to us with questions all the time! Want to find out more about us? Curious about something? Check out the frequently asked questions below!

  • We met way back in 2004! We worked for the same company but in different departments.

  • Yes, we got married in 2007.

  • Although home is on the road. We’re both from Nova Scotia, Canada. We recently sold our condo and tiny house in Nova Scotia but also bought an RV (travel trailer). We spend a good portion of the year on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic and the rest of the year we plan to be in our RV or travelling internationally.

  • We are definitely not rich. We’ve worked very hard to get to the position we’re in now. We have multiple income streams (which took years to get going). We make money from our YouTube channel (through Google and through sponsorships). We’ve sold most of what we own, so that we don’t have any extra expenses. We also have a web design company

  • Absolutely, head over to www.hopcreative.com to find out more about our web design company.

  • We always and exclusively use SafetyWing for our travel insurance. It’s affordable and easy to set up and if you travel for long periods like us you can set it up to auto-renew from month-to-month (so we don’t have to keep remembering to purchase each month). It’s also great for short term travel.

  • Probably forever! However, we’ve changed our goals in the last while. Instead of travelling quickly from one place to the next we are now slow travelling which gives us the opportunity to try out living in different countries, cities and beach towns. Eventually we’ll probably narrow it down to some favourites and spend the year living in a few different places for months at a time.

  • If you want to travel full time you’re going to need a job that allows you to be remote or to work for yourselves. There are loads of websites out there with suggestions for different jobs that can be done online (Virtual Assistant, teach english online, etc).

If you want to start a YouTube channel but don’t have any idea where to start, our advice is to get some basic equipment to start (even try filming on your phone to start out), practice being on camera and filming. You can find free editing softing online and if you have a Mac you can use iMovie. Practice, see what you can do and make sure you enjoy it. Once you get more comfortable then start up that channel, invest in better equipment and get going!

If you want more hands-on learning we’d suggest doing some on-line training. There are lots of courses available online. Skillshare is a great place to start as they offer loads of classes in pretty much everything including editing and storytelling!
